About Us

Memories Over Money didn't start in a boardroom. It started on a maxed-out credit card on a beach in North Carolina.

Raymond's son was nine years old and had only seen his grandmother a handful of times in his entire life. Raymond lived in Texas. His mom lived in Virginia. When the chance came to get everyone together at a resort on the North Carolina coast, there was never really a decision to make — just a credit card and a willingness to figure the rest out later. Halfway through the trip, the money ran out. He woke up the next morning to a credit limit increase and didn't think twice. Every time that card got swiped for the rest of that trip, it was the same thought running through his head.

Memories Over Money.

When he got home, the phrase stuck. Friends Jakob and Mike wouldn't let it go either. They pushed Raymond to put it on a hat or a shirt, turn it into something bigger than a vacation story. Jakob came up with the logo. The three of them built the brand the same way Raymond took that trip, without waiting until everything was perfectly lined up. Both Jakob and Mike have since come on as full partners, and what started as a phrase between friends has grown into a movement built on a simple belief that hustle culture has been lying to people for a long time.

From left to right (Jakob, Raymond, and Mike)

You can make more money. You can't make more time. The overtime, the grind, the endless chase. None of it follows you out. But the memories do. The people you showed up for do. The moments you chose over the paycheck do. Our message has always been the same, whether you have the money or not, find a way to take a break and live a little along the way.

As Memories Over Money grows, so does our ability to give back. Vacations, weekend getaways, cruises, camping trips, etc. We want to hand people the kind of opportunity Raymond stumbled into on that North Carolina beach. The chance to stop, breathe, and be present with the people that matter most.

We're also deeply committed to those who gave everything. A meaningful portion of what we build goes toward supporting our veterans and the communities around us that need it most. Because at the end of the day, this brand was never just about shirts. It's about people choosing to live.

Three guys. One phrase. A whole movement behind it.

Real wealth isn't in your wallet.
